We were the newcomers once.
Every one of us arrived in Vancouver as an international student. We remember the first weeks well: nodding along in conversations that moved too fast, guessing how grading worked, eating dinner alone.
Most of what helped didn’t come from an orientation booklet. It came from another student a year or two ahead who told us how things really work.
U.S.E.D. is our way of being that student for the next arrival, with guides written from experience and events where showing up alone is normal.
